It seerns that the "Iowa Idea" is to be j&revlved again. Governor A. B. Cum- juins in his Inaugural address the other .day threw down the gauntlet to the "aland patters," took a bold stand for reciprocity and declared he would fight with his following to the bitter end for a revision of tariff schedules. His stand was a declaration of war against opposing forces in a struggle for the chairmanship of the Iowa delegation to the republican convention. Ex. Homes Wanted For Children. The rugged life found among the sun- kissed hills of Arkansas forms the ground work of the graphic story that is depleted in "Sandy Hot torn," that melodrama of intense interest. This play will lie seen at the Rose burg theatre, Krldny, Jan. 22, and always appeals forcibly to popular lutercst of all e lassos. It Is a romance worthy of Dumas and other fnmous writers. Tho story told in unfolding the plot is a beautiful one, sweet, pathetic, natural and it tcaehos a wholesome, moral lesson. Tlke thoso patriotic songs, "America" and the "Star Spangled Banner," it never falls to touch the hearts and minds of those who see it portrayed with vivid llfellko action.
