Chapters of the Grants Pass District to Meet in Roseburg, May 5-8. At the regular monthly business meeting of the local Kpworth League at the M. 10. church lust night, an invi tation was extended to all chapters of the Epwort.h League in the Grants Pass district to send delegates to Koseburg the first week In May, 1004, for the purpose of organizing and holding an Kpworth League Convention. This convention will begin Thursday, May 5th, and end Sunday evening, May 8th. Thursday evening will be devoted to addresses of welcome and a Bociul or entertainment for the purpose of be coming acquainted. On Friday and Saturday eveningB there will bestirring addresses by tho best talent In the dis trict. Sun--will be devoted, to the tegular Sunday services. The morn ing and afternoon of Friday and Satur day will bo used for the transaction of the business of the convention and to the reading and discussion of especial ly prepared papers by delegates. Every phase of the Kpworth League work will be discussed in the convention. It Is intended that the district con vention shall be held once each year at one of the towns of the district. These district conventions are a great help to the Kpworth League, and the Granut 1'au district has long felt the need of united effort In a convention, but there aoetned to be no one to start the log rolling, so the local League took tho matter up and have invited the leagues nt the district to hold their first conven tion in Koseburg, May 5th to 8th, 11K1, Inclusive.
