The “ A” Band, under the direction of Mr. Jeffrey Earnest, played such numbers as “ Hail the Conquering Hero” and “ Songs of the Sea” . Mr. Eldon Wolfe directed the Girls Glee Club as they sang several numbers, including the Ukranian Carol, “ Carol of the B ells” and the American folk song, “ All Night, All Day” . “ The Night Before Christmas” was one of the many beautiful Christmas Carols presented by the Choral Ensemble. Others they sang were “ Come, Singing Noel” , Rise Up Shepherd and Follow” , and the Austrian Carol “ Still, Still, Still” . Music of still other countries was featured when the “ A” Choir sang “ Afri can Noel” , a folk song from Liberia, “ Kolyada” , a song of the Russian people, and “ Pat-A-Pam” , a Burgundian Carol. “ B” Band performed well on the tra ditional English song “ What Child Is This” . They also played the beautiful “ Sherry Lyn” . The choral groups were accompanied by Mr. Earnest, piano; George Williams and Clifford Jim, drums. The program was very enjoyable and the people who performed did a very excellent job in providing some happiness and cheer for the holiday season. W HO'S CORLISS ARCHER? Rehearsals are now a common thing for members of the cast of “ Meet Corliss Archer” , a comedy being produced by the Stagedoor Tremblers. The play is the story of a young girl who gets herself into a very humorous situation. To liven up her too prosaic diary, Corliss Archer has been writing in some imaginary incidents. Her very pro per parents are shown as having fights and her nice boy friend, Dexter, as a juvenille delinquent. Prim cousin Agnes gets ahold of Corliss’ fake diary—and believes it is true! She is sure Mr. Archer is a dangerous drunk and when Mrs. Archer comes in with her hand to her face (she has a slight toothache), cousin Agnes C H E M A W A T A L E N T SHO W N thinks Mr. Archer has been beating her!
