2 BOY AND GIRL AWARDS MADE Athletes a re n 't the only ones that receive recognition a t Chem- awa. This year an award i s being mada each month fo r an outstanding boy; and g i r l . They are selected on the basis of having average or better grades and having shown exceptional qu ali t ie s of frie n d lin e ss, leadership, lo y a lty , honesty, and service. The students selected must also have made a contribution to the to t a l program of school and campus life . Each month the boy and g i r l that is chosen w ill receive a handsome w rist watch and a 8 by 10 picture of the student w ill be placed in a sp ecia l display in the lower h all, of Academic Building I. I j| Here are some rules which w i ll JG help you to get the most from l i v - ™ ing. Keep healthy; eat regular meals every day. I f you need to lose sane weight, don't eat between meals and eat a l i t t l e le ss a t every meal. I f you need to gain weight, Eat more than you have been eating a t meals. Bathe every day; more often when you have been sweating. Keep your clothing in good repair and mend, press, wash, and iron them often. Be sure to wear clean under garments each day. Posture is another thing that should go along with grooming. S it up stra ig h t and stand e rect i f you are walking or standing.____ . STUDENTS STUDY AT NIGHT Students are making good use of the evening study h a ll. The lib ra ry is open from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Mon day through Thursday fo r those that need the extra time fo r study. Mrs. Simonton, who i s in charge, sta te s that about 80 students make use of the lib ra ry each evening.
