Th e top four wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the state championships on February 26 at Cascade High School in Turner, OR. Start time 10:00 a.m. $8 adults, $6 seniors, $5 students, three and under are free. Teams included: Baker, Corbett, Gladstone, La Grande, Madras, McLoughlin, Ontario, and Sisters. 1700 W. Dispatchers are booking non-emergency medical rides Tuesdays and Th ursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rides are based on volunteer driver availability and are provided Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. At least 48 hours advance notice is required. Th e Sisters Cold Weather Shelter (SCWS) Parkinson’s Support Group In partnership with local churches, SCWS is providing free hot meals and a warm, safe place to stay this winter. Th roughout February, shelter location is the old Sisters Habitat for Humanity building at 141 W. Main St. upstairs. Access is from the back of the building. Th e Shelter will open at 6 p.m. each night. Free Vaccination Clinic Th e clinic is being held February 10 and 17, from 12-4 p.m. at Sisters Fire Hall, 301 S. Elm St. Moderna (18 and up), Pfi zer (12 and up), and Johnson & Johnson are available. First and second dose as well as boosters are available, as is a fourth shot for the immune compromised. Free Weekly Grab-N-Go Lunches For Seniors Th e Council on Aging of Central Oregon is serving seniors (60+) free grab-n-go lunches on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Th ursdays each week. Th e lunches are distributed on a fi rst- come, fi rst-served basis, drive- through style, from 12:30-1 p.m. at Sisters Community Church, 1300 W. Mckenzie Hwy. Volunteers Needed Furry Friends is looking for volunteers to help with bottle- and-can fundraiser once a week (Saturday or Sunday but other days OK too). It takes about 45 minutes (and is easiest with a team of two) to put donated bottles and cans in blue fundraiser bags at donation drop-off spot on Th e Nugget’s porch, then bags are delivered to the BottleDrop at Ray’s. They describe Izzy as a sweet girl that loves to snuggle and is very playful with her favorite people. Her previous home was very quiet and she was the only animal in the home. Izzy would hide if grandchildren or new people came over. Izzy would do best in a similar home that is calm and tranquil, where she gets to be queen of the household. She was never an outdoor kitty and prefers to stay that way in her next and fi nal home.
