The Sacra ments river is 27 feet 7 inches above low water mark to-day, which is eight inches higher then ever before known. It is still rising slowly but there is no prospect of any more ram. The levees on the east side of tho river are broken in a score of places and the territory north amd east of here is all underwater. A number of ranchers have moved their familes and stocks into town for safety. IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TOO. Los Angeles, Dec. 12. The heavi est continued rain for years set in early last evening nud fell steadily through last night and to-day and there are still no signs of clear weather. From 5 o'clock yesterday till 11 this morning there was a fall of nearly three inches. Tho streets are badly damaged on the hillsides and cable lines are stopped by water flooding tho power house. Washington, Dec. 12, Funeral services were held over remains ot Mrs. Scott Lord this morning at the church of the Incarnation. President and Mrs. Harrison, and other relatives followed the casket.
