A Talk with the Originator of the Uove-ment- The man who figures at the head of the proposed new exodus of ne groes from the south, h the Eev. T. W. Henderson, pastor of 'Quinn chapel, in Chicago. He is a colored man, and 'took a leading part in the great exodus of Mississippi negroes to Kansas in 1872. Mr. Henderson was seen a few days ago by the re porter of q Milwaukee paper, and said that he was the author of the resolutions adopted in that city by the African Methodist conference of the northwest, and that they were not inspired by any politician or with a view of serving any political party. "This movement," he said, "has been quietly worked for a long time, and will be continued in that way until we have settled Montana and Wash ington territory from end fo end with refugees. Plautafcen negroes are no better off now than they were before the war. When they hire out it is for the year, and they contraot to buy all their supplies from the master's store, so that, when they make a final settlement, they always come out in debt. So their condition is really no better than the Mexican peons who shovel forever as debtors of their employers. The movement is thoroughlv organized, and on such a solid basis that no one in the south will realize the colored folks have esoaped until all are gone who wish to go. We have a better underground rail road now than Existed iu the daya of old John Brown. It was I who orig inated and conducted, under gover nor St. John, the great exodus of my people from the state of Mississippi to Kausas in 1872. At that time I was editor of two newspapers in Kan sas. We got over 60,000 colored peo ple to move to the state, gjive most of them a mule and sold them forty acres of land eaoh, on five or ten years' time. Tt was a great succesB. Many of them are now rich; all are well "to do. and they did not freeze to death, as the wife of the governor of Tennessee feared, when, talking to me, that they would." Ayer's Ague Cure stimulates the liver and neutralizes the malarial poison in the blood. Warranted to GeneraLBooth, m opening a new Salvation hall iu Liverpool, defied any one to point out any Authorized doing of the Salvation armv not justi fied from the bible.
