Long-Standing Blood Diseases are cured bs the persevering use of Ayer's Sarsaparilla. This medicine is an Alterative, and causes a radical change in the system. The process, in some cases, may not be quite so rapid as in others ; but, with persistence, the result is certain. Read these testimonials : " For two years I suffered from a se vere pain in my right side, and had other troubles caused by a torpid liver and dyspepsia. After giving several medicines a fair trial without a cure, I began to take Ayer's Sarsaparilla. I was greatly benefited by tho first bottle, and after taking five bottles I was com pletely cured." John "Y. Benson, 70 Lawrence St., Lowell, Mass. Last May a large carbuncle broke out on my arm. The usual remedies had no effect and I was confined to my bed for eight weeks. A friend induced me to try Aver's Sarsaparilla. Less than three bottles healed the sore. In all my expo rifiico with medicine, I never saw inoia Wonderful Results. Another marked effect of the use of this medicine was the strengthening of my sight." Mrs. Carrie Adams, Holly. Springs, Texas. " I had a dry scaly humor for years, anil suffered terribly ; and. as my broth er and sister were similarly afflicted, I presume the malailv is hereditary. Last winter, Dr. Tyron, (of Fernandina, Fla.,) recommended me to take Ayer'a Sarsaparilla, and continue it for a year. For live months I took it daily. I have not had a blemish upon my body for the last three months." T. E. Wiley, 14G Chambers St., New York City. " Last fall and winter I was troubled with a dull, heavy pain in my side. I did not notice it much at first, but it gradually grew woise until it became almost unbearable. During the latter part of this time, disorders of the stoin. aeh and liver increased my troubles. X began taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and, after faithfully continuing tho use o this medicine for some months, the pair disappeared and 1 was completely cured." Mrs. Augusta A. International Troutfe in Bearing Sea- Sak Fbakcisco, July 30. The steamer Bora arrived from Behring sea last night, and brings tho first detailed account of the capture of the British sealer Black Biamond by the United States revenue cutter Richard Rush, July 11, the Rush overtook the Black Biamond, and ordered her to heave to. " The cap tain of the Black Biamond, refused to do this. Thereupon the com mander of tho Rush ordered the low ering of the ports and the turning out of the guns, which caused the schooner to heave to. Captain Sheppard and Lientenaut Tuttle boarded the English craft and asked for her papers. The officers of the Black Biamond offered no armed resistance, but refused to de liver the ships papers. Captain Sheppard at once broke open the cabin and forced the hinges of a strong box and the captain's chest, thereby Beounng the papers which he wanted. A" search of the vessel disclosed 103 sealskins, which had been taken in Behnng sea. Captain Sheppard placed a non commissioned officer from the Hurti in charge of the Black Biamond. aud ordered the vessel taken to Sitka to await further instructions. The captain of the Black Biamond made a statement that when in Vic toria he had been ordered to pay no attention in case he was overtaken by the Rash and requested to heave to. He said that he would not have sur rendered if lue,i23?7i had had an in ferior force to tuat of his own. On July 13 the schooner Triumph was also boarded by Captain Shep pard, but no arrest was made, the skins on board the vessel having been captured.iu the Pacific; and not in Behring sea. A passenger that arrived here on the steamer Bora last night said: "On our way down from St. Paul's island we saw six sealers, and the Rush was closely in pursuit of them. Undoubtedly by this time the Rush has made additional captures." ViCTOBiA, B. 0.i JLuly ,30. Captain McLean, of -ihe TriHfffpti is rather! reticent about imparting imprniatiou relative to affairs 'in Behring sea. However, considerable has been learned from others on the vessel. It is asserted that IbLean" played the Rush a smart "trick. The story is that when the Rush was sighted, there were thiffy.8e,alsridead, lying on the Triumph' .deck- jThese were hurriedly skinned, and the pelts hidden amongst a large quantity of salt. This salt also formed a heavy coating to above 800 sealskins, which lay at the bottom of the schooner. Lieutenant Tuttle made' an examin ation, but seeing nothing but salt, departed. ' The captain of the seized Black Biamond refused to give up his pa pers, but was told he must submit, as the Rush had power to take her anyway. The men on the Triumph say that Captain Dodd, of the Maggie Mac had said he would fire on any Amer ican officers attempting to board the vessel. When the Triumph left, seals were plentiful. A large number of seals had been killed, one vessel having taken fifty. Lieutenant Tuttle told Captain McLean that he had seen five schoon ers entering Behring sea on the Fourth of July, viz: Maggie Mac, The Triumph, Mary Ellen, TAllie L and Black Diamond. .The latter was captured, -but the fate of the others is unknown. The Oorona has arrived. Captain Carroll says when he left Juneau, Wednesday the British men-of-war Swiftsurs, Icarius and JLmp?iioii were there. They left for Port Simp son on the following day. Tha Cor ona has heard nothing -of the aeiz ures. . . A nmnbef, of 'prominent sealing men waited 'on the captain of her majesty's ship, Champion, to-day, previous to bis sailing for the north to join the fleet, and gave him full particulars in writing. He will ,con vey them personally'to Admiral, Heu eage. A deputation also waited ou Hon. John Bobeson, provincial sec retary.
