Heading Por The Ocean, Stealing- quietly westward from Fort Fetterman, the sixth trans continental line of railway is at tracting little attention; but al though there is no ilouribh of trum pets, the work of grading and tracklaying is going steadily on. The Chicago and Northwestern railway company which has the enterprise in hand, has recently contracted for 160,000 tons of steel rails, the greater part of which, according to the statement of its officials is to be used in new mileage. Work was abandoned on the line west of Fort Fetterman, last winter, -but it was again re sumed on the 1st inst. There can no longer be any -doubt that the one object of the company in building westward through Wyo ming and Idaho is to reach the Pacific coast. The line, as newly surveyed, will cross the Snake river near Eagle Rock, I. T., and run thence in a nearly direct line to Boise City. kK &YSV, AckS Baby Soother at hand.
