The 21i?7iesi Topeka (Kan.) speoiul saya: Boston Corbett, the slayer of John Wilkes Buoth, has cre ated a great sensation here. He was assistant doorkeeper of the house. It was known that ho had long been a crank, but yesterday he became decidedly insane and with two revolvers took pos-sesimi of the speaker's gallery, which he held during the whole forenoon. At twelve o'clock he sent word down to the house that it it did not adjourn he would come down and adjourn it himself. The house adjourned, and Corbett was caught and disarmed in the lower corridor;. He was to-day declared insane, and will go to an asylum. Wabash, Ind., Feb., 17. Mary Baker, the White county faster, completed last evening her one hundred and fifth day of total ab stinence from food or drink. Sev-' eral days ago the extremities be gan growing colder and signs of dissolution were apparent, but she still lives.
