After hearing testimony given by twenty-four witnesses yesterday after noon, Hobert France was discharged by the county court after being thorough ly examined as to his sanity. It devel oped In the testimony that the entire case was the result of a family row and that France and his wife and eld est sou were unable to get along to gether, There is a littel trouble with the North t'omiiiercinl street paving north of the Mill crook hridire. In placing the curbing the embankment was not made heavy enough to hold it, and in consequence the curbing has broken away from the paving ami will hnvc to be torn out and rebuilt. This will piobably be looked after before the final payment is made, as even the street committee Is tired of such fias cos as those arising from paving the contractors for the work on Union and Church streets, before the work was completed. That a strong web of evidence is being woven about .Tamos Dearing, held in jail here on a charge of the murder of his uncle, George Dearing, became known today when Sheriff Elmers questioned mem bers of the Dearing family regarding the estrangement known to have ex isted between uncle and nephew for monflis. '' Dearing was found dead on a remote part of his ranch near Grangcville, late Thursday night, indications 'show ing that he was killed by a high-power rifle. Shrock, made to the soldiers' home in Roseburg and the condition in which he found the home: "I went out to the sodiers' home, at Bosebtirg, and inspected the kitchen, dining mom ami store rooms. D. is the neatest pace I have fouud by great odds. 'It scored 97.3 out of a possible 100. I think it might be well to state, by way of comparison, that all of the other eating houses which I have scored averaged about 65 to 65."
