The society rescues homeless, ne glected or abused children of Oregon; receives, by legal commitment or oth erwise, children from the Juvenile courts of counties; provides for such until suitable homes or employment and oversight aro found for them, nnd continues a systematic attention to their condition and trentnieiit. The society Is supported by state and county contribution, from the in terest of a bequest fund and volun tary contributions of the public and both organization and work aro non- Beetnilnn.
