Mr. Carle plays the part of an expert on dermatology, a profession that endears him to the women of the play. The music Is from the prolific pen of Karl lloschna, that geTilus of mel ody who wrote 'Madamo Sherry," "Three Twins," and a host of other successes. The remainder of the councii men, however, were not in sympathy with him, and his motion failed for the lack of a second. The charter provides for a mayor with a salary of $2400. and two com missioners with a salary of $1800 each. Another Important feature Is that relating to elections, the direct primary plan being abolished, and the certificate plan substituted.
