FINE EXHIBITS AT THE ROOMS OF BOARD OF TRADE Among the very attractive products brought in to tho Board of Trade tho past few days, is a hill of potatoes from tho Ed Gillinghnm ranch on East Court Street. They are of the good old Burbank variety, and the twelve 'largo potatoes from one hill weighed nearly eleven pounds. Of course people who have lived hero as long ns Mr. Gllllngham are not sur prised at this, but it does seem a little unusual to newcomers to find a peck of merchantable potatoes in ono hill. Mr. C. Townsend from Rosedalo brought in a splendid exhibit of Duchess apples raised out in the Red Hills. These aro getting to bo quite a popular apple in Oregon. Mr. H. H. Savage brought in a few twigs of choice Crawford peach'js from his back dooryard on Church street. They measure about ten inches around the waist, and every one who sees them would be willing to make them add to his own measure. H. S, Polsal the South Salem gocsr also brought In a plate of magnificent Gravenstein apples from his home place on Salem heights. They- are perfect- fruit as to shape and color, and free from all blemish or vermin. Again this is proof that the Willam ette Valley can produce as fine apples as any section in the world. o Won't NecO n Crutch. When Editor J. C. Sossman, of Cornelius, N.
