Those trees have boon over a hundred years in growing and 'cannot bo replaced, and yet this man wanted them for firowood, There are no moro beautiful trees in the world than tho native oaks on our hills and even on the low grounds. It ought to bo madoa sacrilege to cut down ono of them and tho park board of this city ought to save them, Thero are noble, towering firs standing on our suburban stroots that attract tho covetous eyes of the tree butcher. What has our park board done to savo any of these trees from tho vandal hand of tree killers?
