The American Social Science association will begin a series of general meetings in Assem bly hall, Charities building, on Fourth avenue and Twenty-third street this ev ening. An interest ir. program has been prepared. At the opening meet ing tonight John Graham Brooks will deliver the Introductory address. Ho will be followed by Bourko Cochran, who will speak on "Tho Immigration Problem." At tho session tomorrow morning William. Williams, ex-commissioner of Immigration, will deliver an address on tho 'Sifting of Immigrants. " Ray mond L. Griffiths, president of the Southern Immigration society, will speak on "Tho South and tho Immi grant;" Ii. J. Ellis, eastern passenger agent of the Norfolk & Western rail way, on "Railroad and the Immi grant." Other addresses will bo de livered by Dr. P. II. Bryce, chief -modi cal officer, Cyrus L. Sulzberger, presi dent of tho Industrial Removal society and Presoott R. nail of Boston. There will also bo an evening session with ad dresses by Julius M. Mayer, attorney general, and John Brooks Lenvitt. On Friday there will be sessions in the morning and evening, whilo the af ternoon will bo devoted to visits to Kills Island and tho dock districts.
