The young men of Salem are taking a great Interest In this matter, and Intend1 to onllst" almost every eighteen to twenty-oner within the vi cinity of 8alem. The young men of Salem are almost unanimously for the Republican standard bearers. They recognize In tho principles advocated by Theodore Roosevelt progress, prosperity and fu ture greatness for the American na tion. The boys who will cast their first voto3 on November 8th will ally themselves with the former, and as sist In the great American policlos In augurated by our great presidents, Lincoln, Orant anil McKInley. On Saturday evening tho executive committees of tho four Republican clubs, the Young Men's, the Roo3evelt club, the First Votors' club and the election day, University Republican club, will meet at tho police court room for the pur pose of completing arrangements for the great rally, which will be held in thla city November 1st. Many prominent Republicans from various sections of tho stato will at tend, and the evening will bo made a gala one for tho Republicans of Ma rlon county. Senator John II. Mitch ell will deliver the prlnclplo address of tho evening. Hon. Percy R. Kel ly, the brilliant young attorney and orator of Linn county, is slated for a roiulng talk. Hon. Wm. Kuykendall, of Eugene, Hon. W. I. Vawtor, of Medford, Hon. Dan J. Malarkey, of Portland, and others will mako ad dresses.
