Mr. Downing further reports thai the association has received an offer of an advance of 18 cents n bushel to on able the growers to hold their crops. The advanced money Is to bo a lien on the grain, or personal security can be given by the farmers. This offer re ceives no consideration, for the grow eis are detei mined to enter tho mar ket. If necessary, and sell their grain at the best possible advantage. They have mndo a success of their pools for two years, and aro resolved that this year shall not be no exception. They are not particularly displeased with the offer that has been recolved for their wheat, which Is four cents above the Salem market qtiotntlon, but think the limitation for the (Hits Is too low to be coneideied, since as high as 2fi cents has been offered In tho local market for the same .grain nlroady this season.
