Department of Agriculture, climnte and crop bulletin of the weath er bureau, Oregon section, for the week ending, August 6th: General Summary, Hxcept for a few light showers last Wednesday and Thursday in the northwestern portion of the state, no rain hns fallen during the week. The temiieraturos have been seasonable, and there has been an abundance of bright sunshine, making altogether excellent harvesting weather. The fall wheat harvest Is nearly completed in Southern Oregon, well advanced In the, Willamette valley, and making good progress In the east ern sections of the state. Threshing will be general this week. Spring wheat Is lining and ripening nicely. The oat crop promises to be above the average. In the Umatilla district, 'wheat wilt probably turn out better than expected a few weeks ago. In the section about Marion comity, it is not thought the fall grain yield will-be as heavy as last year, but the sprlng sowh grain is doing nicely. In some few sections of Lane county, the re ports are that club spring wheat is badly Injured by rust.
