At last the postolllce department has consented to break up tho Iniquitous "14 box-mak er' trust." This Is a combination of 11 manufacturing firms, which have had a concession from the department to he tho oxcluslvo purvoyors of rural free delivery boxes to tho farmers, Only curtain stylos of boxes wore per mitted by tlio department, and those manufacturers had a monopoly of these styles, No competition wns per milled. Tho farmers had to buy boxes of a cortaln approved pattern, nnd they had to pay the cortnln approved prices set by tho trust. Hereaftor anyone may compete, so long ns the box meets certain requirements proscribed by the authorities.
