Carey, Chas. Hill, and Geo. Flench for burning the Chiueso huts at Jefferson in July. They were com mitted to jail on the 8th of July John Slug committed Sept. 20ih, for an awful clime ierpetruted on u boy Iu this city is the secoud high est crime iu the eye of the law. Jack Burk committed to jail Sept. 120th, for larceny from a person. Tills was for a theft of money from a drunken man on the sawdust near thu Capital Lumbering mills iu this city during fair week. Wni Cole was committed n few days ago for partic ipating In the crime charged against Burk. Win. Johnson, for larceny In a dwelling iu South Salem, com mitted July 25th. Tom McXury, looked Iu jail Sept. gqth for assault with H dangerous weapon. This crime was that of stabbing' the bar keeper in tho Capital brewery. David Jeffreys, brought down from Uiiumpoug Sept, 3id for larceny Iu a dwelling iu that place. Geo.
