Miller Is conducting a thriv ing hardware business, and Ills stock It- quite large at present, consisting of hardware, tinware, stoves, farm ing Implements, wagons, etc. Mr. Miller Is u hustling business man and deserves succcs. J. T. Drown ing conducts thu blacksmith shop and docs all work In this branch of business. Dr. J. V. Rausomo has a neat otlleo at tho corner of 3d ami 1) streets and Is enjoying a good prac tice and has the confidence of his patients, The doctor has lately taken unto him elf a better half and Is quite himself at present. Mr. M. Howe, of tho city, Is ono of the Jouhnal'h dally readers. J. E, Shanks, successor to 1. Jenny, Is running a neat boot and shoo store, and iiImi carries a good lino of harness. Hu will soon add a lino of groceries his to stool;. Mr, R, O, Thomas, postmaster and railroad agent, Is un enthusiastic Jouhnal reader. Oregun State Sunday School Convention The fifth annual convention of the Sunday school workers of Oregon will be held In tho Christian church, at McMiunvillc, commencing Tues day, April 15, and closing Thursday, April 17, 18fX.
