The convention and activities were very interesting The Adrian girl** track team is really shooting high. April 14, we competed in the Greenleaf Friend* Academy Invitational held at Nampa Christian and came away with a trophy for 1st place. Ftve schools were competing. Coach is Raymond Maynard and assistant coach is Carol Shultz. tl April 17 was Adrian’s Junior Senior prom put on by the das* of '77. Debbie Scott, president of the junior class opened the ceremony The theme for the occasion was "Colonial Ball." At the banquet. Glenn Ward was special guest speaker and Erick McKaig from KSRV sang the seniors' theme song. "Theme from Moho gany.” Gentle Ben provided the music at the Prom. Harriet Lorensen was ac cepted as 1st soprano for the Music in May* choir. Clara Fujikawa was accepted to play in the 2nd clarinet section for the Music in May' band. Bob Parker and family of La Grande and Mr. and Mrs. Ransdell of Battle Mountain spent the weekend with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Parker and attended the services for Mrs. Myrtle Parker. Fifty-Six Students Goin Grade Honors Fifty-six students gained top grade honors for the third nine weeks of the 1975-76 Nyssa School year. Three senior boys earned 4.0 GPA for the third quarter. Neal Oidemeyer, Merle Saunders and Jimmy Shimo- maeda were the top senior boys. Other seniors gamering a 3.5 GPA or better were Julie Anderson, Kathy Bass. Tammi Frederiksen. Dion Gamer. Joyce Haney. Maria Herrera, Jeanne Jefferies, Bill Marcum, Lori Miner, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bege- man visited Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schafer Thursday after noon. Jack and Mildred Elliott called at the Oscar Schafer home on Friday. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schafer were Gene Dougherty and Kathy Benton. In the after noon. They were Shari Freel, Anne Jayo, Vickie Savage. Pam Townsend and Gina Udlinek. Some 23% of the seniors. 17% of the juniors, 16% of sophomores and 4% of freshmen mastered the honor roll. Fourteen percent of the total NHS student body gained positions.
