February 22. was the setting when Tamara leigh Webb became the bride of Kent Ellis Cleaver. The church was deocrated with pink and white gladioli and pink and blue carnations Providing the music was Mrs. Glen Brown. Parents of the couple are Mr and Mrs. Cecil Webb of Adrian and Mr. and Mrs Delbert Cleaver of Nyssa. The bride, given in mar raige by her father chose a floor length gown of Chan tilly lace, fashioned with a full tiered skirt, forming a train in back. It featured a square neckline and modified renaissance sleeves. Her elbow length veil was held to a headpiece of white seed pearls. She earned a nosegay of white C'atalaya orchids surrounded by pink roses and blue carnations. Matron of honor was Mrs John Forkitt and bridesmaids were Audrey Astortca, Cindy Conant and Gail Cleaver. The attendants wore floor-length gowns of dotted-swiss with tiered skins and styled with square necklines, trimmed with lace. Shelly Rambaud served as flower girl Best man was Dean Sappe and ushering the guests were Dave Cleaver, Calvin Cleaver and Sc<Mt Goodell Groomsmen were Don < leaver, Wesley Cleaver and Don Sappe. A reception followed in the church social hall. Assisting were Tabetha Haines. Mrs. Brian Cleaver. Mrs. Theron Wheeler and Mrs. Dean Sappe. The bride is attending Adrian High School and TVCC Beauty College. The groom was graduated from Nyssa High School. The newlyweds are making their first home in Nyssa. /Vrnvr llnuich Held Friday The Christian Women’s Club held a Prayer Brunch st the home of Mrs. Tom Jayo Friday morning. Toots Cul bertson led devotions and there were IB ladies in attendance. The next brunch will be at the home of Mrs. Lillian Baker. 1005 Park Avenue. Mrs. Dale Witt accom panied Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Van DeWater of Big Bend to Caldwell, Wednesday after noon where she visited her sister, Mrs. W. C. Van DeWater and son Kent that afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Van DeWater went to Nampa and called on Mrs. Carl Fogleman in the hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Walker and family of Sunset Valley have moved into the Charlie Glenn property for merly occupied by Steve Kriegh. Mrs. Dale Witt called on Mr. and Mrs. Carl Begeman Sunday morning. Mrs. Arlene Gillette of Ontario was a Wednesday dinner guest of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Simpson Mr. and Mrs. Marion York and family of Vale were afternoon callers. APPLE VALLEY ■ The Re- verand John Hicks of North Highland, California, the Evangelist, for the revival meetings at the Nazarene Church, has been a guest this past week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Seward. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Seward were the Rev. John Hicks, Miss Nancy Gundersen and Ron Kirk both N.N.C. students from Nampa. Mr and Mrs. Dwight Seward attended the funeral service on Wednesday at Nampa, for Mrs. Olen Doane. Mrs. Jamie Jaggers and baby of Boise were Monday thru Wednesday guests in the Rex Wagner home. Mrs. Frank Zimdars is in the St. Lukes Hospital at Boise with a broken hip caused by a fall last week. Mabel Fox and Laura Bale attended the Bible Study hour on Saturday morning at the Nazarene Church under direction of the Rev. John Hicks Mr. and Mrs. Phil Bale. Mrs. Leo Montague, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bale and children of Caldwell were all Sunday visitors of Mrs. Laura Bale. Mr. and Mrs. Toni Fer guson drove to Walla Walla. Washington on Friday where they met Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krebs and Sheri of Portland. They enjoyed visiting to gether until Sunday when they returned home. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Mast and Mrs. Ed Sells attended the Flea Market at Boise on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Sells and family were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs Ed Sells. Mr and Mrs. William Anders of Caldwell were Wednesday dinner guests of ‘ ' and Mrs. Waldo Smalley Mr. Mrs. Helen Wilson had lunch on Thursday with Esther Boesen of Caldwell and later visited with Lavone Fox of Caldwell. Mr. and Mrs. William Knox returned home Monday after a weeks visit with Mr. and Mars. Arlo Hamilton of Eugene. Oregon and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Knox of Spring field. Oregon. Mrs. Laura Bale visited with Mrs. Mary Honey on Thursday afternoon and on Sunday evening they at tended the Revival service at the Nazarene Church and Mrs. Bale was a luncheon guest of Mrs. Honey after church service. Mrs. Laura Bale visited with Ruth Martin of Caldwell on Friday and they enjoyed dinner at the Golden Phea- sant Cafe. Mrs Leona Scott. Donna Scott. Janice Moeller and Janet Griffin spent from Thursday thru Monday in Portland visiting Mrs. Scotts three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Gedde. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Vice, and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kundert. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Calvert. On Sunday Mrs. Scott and girls went to Port Towsend. Wash, and spent the time sight seeing. Mrs. Ren Nash (Margie Nichols) of Anchorage, Ala ska left by plane on Thursday for her home in Alaska, after visiting the past month with her mother, Mrs. Oscar Nichols. Mrs. Nash came in February to attend funeral services for her father. Mrs. Jim Franklin of Payette visited Mrs. Ed Sells on Wednesday. They went to Caldwell and visited their parents Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Hawkins then attended a ceramics class. The Bowling Team for the Eastside Cafe of Ontario and wives enjoyed dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Muir al Weiser after the State Bowling Tournament held in Weiser on Sunday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Marostica. Mr. and Mrs. Jun Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Pollard and girls. Chet Takatori and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Wagner. Other guests not on the team were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Wagner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Scott and son of Vale and Mr. and Mrs. Vick Scott and son of Weiser. Jo Ann and Henry Dibble of Cambridge. Idaho spent Thursday-Saturday visiting theu grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dibble, who took them home on Saturday. Page Five TVCC Otters English Classes English as a Second Language classes will be offered by the Treasure Valley Community College Adult Basic Education Pro gram at, the Nyssa Service Center. Tuesday and Thurs days. 7 - 9 p.m. and in the Lease Building on the college campus also Tuesday and Thursday, 7 - 9 p.m. Bilingual instructors are available in these classes to help students desiring citi zenship with the ir English skills. Students in Nyssa should contact the Nyssa Service Center. A special English as a Second Language class for Vietnamese is offered Tues day evenings in the college learning center. Patty Ken nington is the instructor. If there is enough interest, classes will be held in the labor camps this spring and summer. SHERIE FIELD of Route 2, Nyssa, was the lucky winner of a $10 bill for selling the most new and renewal subscriptions for the period of March 22 to March 27. Sherie really got in and worked the last two days. She was a little late getting started to win a bicycle but she received a check for $21.50 in commissions in addition to the $10 bill.
