Worthy Patron. Clarence Wernick presided during the Good of the Order. John Pittman responded with a brief message and made a Grand Appointment for Do rothy Parrish. Worthy Grand Matron. DON WILSON, nee Mary Lou Obendorf. were united in marriage November 13. 1975, in Winnemucca. Nevada. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bob Obendorf of the Roswell Community and Mrs. Jack Wilson of Apple Valley. Don is serving as a Medic in the U. S. Army, presently stationed in Germany, but will return to the States in March. Both are former students of Parma High School. Don graduated from Kalev Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist. Twenty members answered roll call. The 1976 year books were issued and members filled in the committees for each month. There was no new sickness reported. Several members reported of visits to shut-ins. There were five tables of Bunco in play following the meeting, with traveling going to Virginia Rookstool. Anna Marostica high and Emily Clapp, low. Hostesses were Merle Jo hnson and Harriet Warren and they served delicious refreshments Announcements were made. Practice for initiation will be held January 11 at 6 p.m. Stardusters will meet at the home of Sadie Metcalf on January 12. Clyde McClung was a dinner guest at the Nedry home New Years Day. • • • Mrs. Jack Pittz returned Saturday from a weeks visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Blevins in Yakima, Washington. Mr. Blevins suffered a severe hear» attack before Christmas and is now out of the hospital and recovering at home. Journal Classified! Certificates of Achieve ment were presented follow ing the program. Families and friends of the student! attended. LEGION AUXILIARY Past presidents of the Legion Ausiliary met Mon day. January 5, at the home of Eleanor Browne with seven members present. The women held a belated Christ mas party and gift exchange. Refreshments were served by the hostess. The nest meeting will be held at the home of Ellen Richardson. Monday. February 2. A JUNK WEDDING IS PLANNED by Mias Vicki Beth Humpreys and Ronald James Sarazin whose engagement is being announced by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Humpreys. Sublimity. Oregon, parents of the bride-elect. Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Sarazin of Nyssa. Miss Humphreys, a Silverton Union High graduate, is a junior at Oregon State University majoring in accounting. Mr. Sarazin. a 1971 graduate of Nyssa High School, is a senior industrial engineering major at Oregon State University. We made "Quick Coffee cake" with crunchy topping. It turned out really good. After we ate some, there was enough left over to take some to our parents. For our meeting nest week, we are to find out the differences in the price Of bacon, milk and eggs. Mrs. Chuck Landreth, who recently under went surgery was unable to join the family for dinner.
