He went January 9. He would enjoy hearing from people and his new address i* IJ Glenora Avenue, Salisbury, Rho desia. South Africa. Several from this com munity attended the funeral of Mrs. Oscar Hieter on Monday of this week. The Hieters lived in this com munity for many years. After Oscar died. Mrs. Hieter moved to Nyssa to spend her remaining years. Mr. and Mr*. Harold Dail and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Haney and family, and Amy Stradley were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs Bill Stradley. Mr. and Mrs Marvin Hill were Sunday dityier guests of Marguerite Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Strad ley and Mrs. Amy Stradley went to the Gospel sing at The Mini dome in Payette. Special guests at the sing were a singing group from Lewiston. Idaho. There were several Treasure Valley groups there that took part, one in particular was a group called the Blue-Grass. It is a string group with Lloyd Won/er. who was many times Champion of the Old Time Fiddler's Contest at Weiser. Sad word was received in this community of the death of Evelyn Hickey, fifteen- year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Don Hickey of Ontario. Don Hickey was born in the Arcadia community and grew up here. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard went to Clyde Long'* home. Sunday to help him and Mrs. lortg celebrate hi* 85th birthday. Mr. and Mr* Brig Olsen returned home, Monday, from Reiburg. Idaho, after spending some time in the home of their son and family, Mr and Mr*. Garth Olsen and children They went to get acquainted with their new grandson On the way there, they spent Thursday night with Mrs. Olsen's brother, Earl Petterson at Burley and on the way back they stayed all night with Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Peterson at Jerome. Mr. and Mrs. led Howe of Oregon Slope visited tlyde and Nell Bowers, Thursday afternoon. Tom and Dorothea Mit chell visited Mr and Mrs. Clyde Bowers, Saturday morning. Don Bowers of Parma called at the Clyde Bowers home Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Corn returned home Sunday from a two week visit with their daughter Virginia, Mr and Mrs. Alan Baltzer and daughter in Jordan Valley. Mr and Mrs Parley Feik visited in Salt l ake City, Utah last week. They left Tuesday and came home Saturday. They went to BYU, and visited Mrs. Feik's sister lone Muir, and their daugh ter. Frances and family. Mr. and Mrs Mark Whee ler and Mrs. Wheeler's mother visited Saturday eve ning with the C. R Keslers Sr. Mark is a nephew of Mrs. Kesler Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. C. R Kesler. Sr. visited Mr and Mr*. Gerald Good fellow in Payette. Mr. and Mrs. C. R Kesler and Sally returned March 28 from a trip to Salt lake. They went down to be with the Vibert Keslers. Vibert had to have a serious operation and is reported in pro mising condition at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Drydale went to Boise Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Conley Wilson left the first of the week for their home at Pinehurst. William Knot spent a week recently visiting their children and grandchildren at Medford and Eugene. They also visited Mrs Patterson at Salem on Sunday. She is an old friend of their*. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Knox of Grandview visited with their parents Mr. and Mr*. William Knox on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. William Knox visited on Wednesday with friend* at Homestead. Mr, and Mrs. Vernon Green from Stromberg. Neb raska were guests on Thurs day and Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Engelhardt. Mr. Green was a former pupil of Mr*. Dwight Seward had dinner on Friday evening with Mi*s Thelma Lee of Caldwell and then attended the District Sunday School Convention at Nampa First Church. Mr*. Seward alio attended the Saturday session* of the Convention. Mr and Mr*. Elvin Ballou and family entertained for Sunday dinner. Mr. and Mrs Dwight Seward. Gary Seward and Mrs. Mabel Fox. Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Seward atten ded the concert of the Crusader Choir at College Church in Nampa. Gary Seward is a member of the choir. Mr*. Charles Pitman en- Res Nichols home. Mr. and Mrs. David Bay left on Friday and met Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Lloyd at Hermiston. They spent the weekend at the Tri-Cities. Coming home on Sunday they stopped at the Don Fritts home to visit. Lloyd Dibble visited on Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Virgil Martin at Homedale. Visitor* during the week in the Lloyd Dibble home were Mrs. Jay Stone. Mrs. Wil liam Knot and Mrs. Nell Correll. Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dibble and Sue attended the District Sunday School Convention held at First Church in Nampa. Mr. Dibble and Sue also attended the Convention on Saturday. Mrs. Emma Tuning is a houseguest of Mr and Mrs. Clarence Fritts this week. The World Day of Prayer was observed by a group of churches at the Presbyterian Church in Roswell on Friday afternoon. It was a very impressive service and a group of Apple Valley ladies also were present. Sunday visitors in the Gene Honey home were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Honey of Boise. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Honey of Caldwell and Mr. and Mrs. Sam King. The Susannah Circle will meet March 20 with Mrs. Cora Rookstool. Mr and Mrs. Roy Rook' stool visited oil Wednesday with Mrs. Zora Edens who is recovering from a recent major surgery. She is staying at her daughters. Mrs. Keith Carpenter's home in Ontario.
