Patsy Wilson BSU Bowler Nyssa resident Patsy Wil son is a member of the Boise State University bowling team that traveled to Moscow last week for competition in the annual Regional Asso ciation of College unions tournament. Patsy and the other mem bers of the squad bowled against opponents from Wa shington. Oregon. Alaska, and Montana. Winners in the meet advanced to na- tional competition. She entered the tourna ment as the top woman bowler on the squad, spor ting a 176 average. Bowling Tournament Mrs. Irma Boyd Women's International Bowling Con gross Field Service Repre sentative. from Greendale. Wisconsin, will be holding a meeting in Nyssa Thursday. February 27 at the Twilight Cafe at 8 p.m. The purpose of this meet ing will be to inform mem bers about the money WIBC services and to answer any questions about WIBC rules, policies and procedures. She will also visit the Sugar Bowl to discuss the WIBC services available to them. Riding Club Needs Members The Nyssa 4-H Riding Club will be meeting the first and third Thursday of every month in the Nyssa Elemen tary School at 3:45 p.m. and the second and fourth Thurs day at the same building but at 7:30 p.m. They would like to extend a welcome for new members from the Parma. Adrian and any other surrounding areas. Anyone who is interested can join this club as long as they have a horse they can use for club activities. Nyssa wrestlers go through their warm up drills prior to their A last basket shot by Bill Marcum was ruled after the buzzer and the Nyssa Bull dogs were nipped by the Vale Vikings Friday night at TVCC gym by the score of 50-49. The first quarter was a basket trading contest be tween the two teams with Vale coming on at the close and scoring two quick bas kets to lead 12 to 8 at the end. In the second quarter Nyssa outscored Vale 17 to 16 but were still down by three points 25 to 28. After a very good halftime show by the Nyssa Drill Team, the Bulldogs caught fire to outscore Vale 11-15 and to take a slight lead at the end of the third period. The final quarter was a see-saw game with the lead changing hands and the noise in the TVCC gym was unbelievable. Bulldogs Even Score With Emmett, 65-61 match with Vale last week Bulldogs Lose By One Point To Vale, 50-49 Pete Imhoff is the cham pion individual bowler of the 13th annual tournament of the Nyssa Men's Association, held this past weekend at the Sugar Bowl. He won first place in both divisions of the All Events by rolling a nine-game series 1629 sera tch and 1881 handicap. The winning team was American Fine Foods with a 3033 handicap socre. Team members are Clyde Dorris. Dick Estle, Tom Hiatt. Doug Flowers and Mark Noel They will split the $75 prize money and will also each receive an individual trophy for their efforts and luck. This is the second year in a row the American Fine Foods team has won first place in the team event in the city tournament. Come to think of it...maybe it isn't luck! Doug Flowers was running Pete Imhoff a close second for honors of being "the” champion. Doug took first place in Singles with a 656 and will receive $30. For the second year in a row. he placed second in All Events. Doubles and Singles was won by Ron Pruyn and Fred Schilling in both divisions with scores of 1080 scratch and 1224 handicap. Emmett has previously beaten the Bulldogs 55-28 in the season opener Emmett is now 10-9 for the season, and Nyssa is 7-8. Kent Blanch led Nyssa with 17. followed by Alberto Escobedo with 14.
