The film starts with a repro duction of the football play in which Louie Vendrell was in jured Nyssa players took the parts of both the Ny.sa and Vale gridsters with Danny Giron acting the role of Vendrell, who was critically injured in the Nyssa-Vale football game Octo- ’» I I 30 YEARS AGO R.G. Apparently transportation cannot tie secured for tl* labor ers on the railroad so the sugar company expects to bring as many of them to Nyssa as possible by bus ! 40 YEARS AGO A new attorney for the city of Nyssa, but a well-known figure in Malhuer County, was revealed this week. The pri vate law practice of E. Otis Smith, former district attorney of Malheur County, will be re sumed this coming week in the sugar community at 20 North Third Street. In commenting on entering the field of law in Nyssa, Smith said he had confidence in this stable community and lias a • ide acquaintance in the area which induced him to remain in Malheur County, his home since 1929. • • • The number of whooping cough cases in the Nyssa schools con tinue to increase, according to Dr. E.J. Sarazin, etc. The market for the cheese product is unlimited, several different firms having offered to take the entire output, and the amount of cheese output is dt pendent entirely upon the available milk supply, and this amount is expected to increase by leaps and bounds until the dairy industry becomes one of ttie most important in ttxeSnake Valley. Charles Mann had the mis fortune on Saturday of having 75 tons of straw destroyed by fire. Edith Aman had charge of the lesson study. Following the Bible Study a pink and blue shower was gi ven for Mrs. Jerry Hull, who received many lovely gifts. Gary Seward and Joe Finley drove to Pocatello on Friday and helped Alan Gebert move home. He had finished his course at the Idaho State Col lege at Pocatello. After the lun cheon they attended the meeting of the Oregon Dairy Commis sion. The Dairy Wives made a trip to the Owyhee Dam after the meeting and had coffee at the home of Mrs. Klaas Laan. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Piercy were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugen Doctor in Big Bend Friday evening, after the football game. Mrs. Josephene Hodge of Ox ford, Nebraska came Fnday and is visiting her sister. Mrs. Paul Gehrke. She and Mrs. Jerry Conant came by plane. Mrs. Jerry Conant is WillisConant's mother. She was met by her daughter who lives in Boise. Thursday evening Mrs. Chas.
