Mr. and Mrs. James Phifer
of Kingman Kolony returned
Monday, July 2, from a ten-
day vacation of which eight days
were spent in Hawaii.
The trip began Friday, June
22. They drove to Pendleton
where they met her sister and
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent
Scott of Culdesac, Idaho and
Mr. Scott's brother and wife,
Mr. and Mrs. James Scott of
Lewiston, Idaho. They all con­
tinued on to Portland where
they flew with Pan Am on Sa­
turday to the Island of Oahu.
While in Honolulu, they stayed
at the Kuhio Hotel which is
one and one-half blocks from
Waikiki Beach
They rented a car three dif­
ferent
days and toured all
around the island seeing such
sights .1 Diamond Head, Sea
Life Park, Polynesian Cultural
Center, Doles Pineapple fac­
tory, pineapple fields, sugar
cane fields, Pearl Harbor, Ari­
zona War Memorial, many very
beautiful flower gardens, the
30,000 pound sections onto the daylight base­
