He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin E. Kline of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Mary Christine was a 1971 graduate of Nyssa HighSchool and will be a Junior in Home Economics at Oregon State. Her fiance graduated from Wayland High School, Wayland, Massachusetts in 1968. He will be a Junior in Business and Technology at Oregon State. A September 1 wedding is planned at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. NICHOIS-EASTWOOD TEA HONORED GIRLS STATE DELEGATES MARRIED JUNE 1 Virginia Nichols and Mark Eastwood were united in ¡nar ri ge June 1 at the Faith Lu theran Church. Pastor Wil liam Lewis officiated at the ceremony in the presence of the immediate family. Witnesses for the wedding were Millie Pinkston, the bri de’s sister and bride’s son, Danny Nichols. The couple went to McCall on their wedding trip. Eastwood is the manager of Mt. View Equipment in Nyssa, and Mrs. Eastwood is employed at Wilson’s Department Store in Nyssa. The Ontario American Le gion Auxiliary hosted a tea for the delegates who will be lea ving for Girls State soon. The tea was held Saturday, June 2 at the La PalomaCafe in Ontario. All the girls and their mothers were guests of honor at the tea from the local area, including Adnan, Vale, Nyssa and Ontario. Representing Nyssa were Beth Ann Kassman, delegate and Shelly Munn, alternate and their mothers and five of the Nyssa Auxiliary Unit members. The Eastern Oregon Outdoors- men have slated a family potluck for BuIlyCreek Reservoir, west of Vale, for June 17. Members are asked to bring two potluck dishes, along with their own table service, as well as game equipment. A variety of activities are available at the Bully Creek Park, including swimming and fishing. The potluck is scheduled for 2 p.m.. but families are in vited to participate any time from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memtiers are invited to bring guests or interested parties. They Stayed With Mr and Mrs Richard Johnson (Gail) and fa mily at Alexandria where they had been living the past five weeks while he was on a bu siness assignment in Washing ton D. C. They spent the first eight days touring and visiting pla ces of interest in Washington, D. C. at Mt. Vernon and one day at Gettysburg and other interesting places in Pennsyl vania. They also had dinner and spent an evening at Arling ton with Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Child and family. They all flew lack to Denver together Where Mrs Flinders stayed another week at the Johns'« home before returning home. • • Mrs. Kay Brindle returned home Tuesday after a trip to Council Grove, Kansas where she accompanied her father Harry L.
