LETTER TO EDITOR Editor, The Journal I would like to take issue with some points raised in the letter from Mrs. Jerry Au yer of Vale, publ.sbed m last week’s Journal. First at all Mrs. Auyer referred to th» dif- fereoce of .pinion regarding financing of the Malheur Nur sing Home remodeling as "an inter-community squabble ” This issue is not i sporting event and there is no inter community rivalry involved, only a ¿fference of opinion } obitu I rhs Henry E Reed Henry E. Reed. 68, Nyssa, died Thursday March 15. 1973 at his home He was born July 25, 1904. tn Chillicothe, Mis souri. He was a retired plum ber. He moved to Nyssa from Parma four years ago He married the former Kath leen Neal in Anchorage, Alaska, June 20, 1940. He is survived by hu wife at Nyssa, a son, James Reed. Meridian a daughter, Mrs. Odelia Haraar, Parma, and six grandchildren. Recitation of the Rosary was 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lien- kaemper Chapel. Requiem Mass was celebrated it 10a.m., Monday at St Bridget’s Ca tholic Church by tbe Rev. Fr. Robert Simard. Interment W15 at the Parma Cemetery. ( Myrtle Lawrence Myrtle B. Lawreoce, 64.for merly of Nyssa, died Sunday, March 18, 1973 of natural causes while living at her daughter’s home in rural Parma. She was born April 4, 1908. to Burchard. Neb. She moved to Nyssa in 1945 from Nampa. She lived in Nyssa until about a year ago when she moved to Parma to be with her daughter. Survivors include three daugbers, Mrs. LouEllen Mac- K etale, Hillsboro. Ore., Mrs. Linds Bale, Parma, and Mrs. Elaine Armstrong. Jackson ville, Ore., two sisters, Mrs. Clara Rambaud. Nyssa and Mrs. Ida Chambers, Salem, and se ven grandchildren. Graveside services were con ducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at tbe Nyssa Cemetery by the Rev Robert Hutchinson at the Methodist Church.
