Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Titland of Idaho Falls visited Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alexander. Mrs. Sue Marshall and son Jack Marshall were visitors Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wood. Jack Woods and Adah Louise and Gomo Martinez were among those attending the Pendleton Round-up Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mitchell and Mrs. Myrtle Hillis spent the Sept. 10 weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kiesecker, near Anatone, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chadd of Caldwell were Friday afternoon visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Del Mathesin of Ishaquah, Wash, and Mrs. A.T. Knowles, Mrs. Myrtle Hillis and Mr. and Mrs. Ike Mitchell were dinner guests at the home of Denton and Henry Mitchell Sunday. The Rev. Kenneth Himple of Twin Falls was a visitor Sun day afternoon at the homes of Kenneth Loresnsen and the Rev. Fred Moxom. Rev. Himple was enroute to Seattle where he expects to attend a youth con ference this following week. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Pitkin and Mr. and Mrs. William Gs- chwind of Calloway, Nebraska were guests Thursday and Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Price. While here they visited relatives and friends in the area. Mrs. Pit kin is a ■sister of Ira and Ed Price of this area. Mrs. Anna Price of Callo way, Nebr., and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Price, Jr. of Chappell, Nebr. arrived Friday at the Ira Price home. Among re latives visited were the John Prices of Nyssa, the Harold Snyders and Mrs. Snyders fa ther Ed Price. They returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson and son of Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Tom McClinton of Logan, Utah were overnight guests Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiseman of Meridian were visitors Sun day afternoon at the home of Mrs. John Reffett. Mrs. John Reffett returned Thursday from a visit at the home of Stanley Reffetts’ in Dufur, Oregon. While there she attended the Oregon State Fair LOCAL EMPLOYEES PROMOTED BY FNB Wayne Evans and Sharon Krause, both employed at First National Bank of Oregon's Nyssa branch have been named assistant cashiers, announced Rod George, manager. loan Evans, installment officer, started his banking career in the bank's manage ment training program in 1969 and transferred to the agri business department one year later. He was named install ment loan officer of the Nyssa branch in February of 1972. Mrs. Krause, assistant operations officer, joined First National’s Nyssa branch as a bookkeeper in 1959. She was named commercial teller in 1964 and assistant operations officer in 1969 Evans is active in the Lions Club, Elks Club and is a mem ber of the Rodeo Board. He is a graduate of Heppner High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University. Mrs. Krause, a graduate of Adrian High School, has par ticipated in numerous bank- sponsored seminars at Salem. Mrs. Elver Nielsen and Mrs. Dick Young were among those attending the Tri-Valley Exten sion meeting which was held at the home of Mrs. James Stephen Friday, Mrs. Magnus Ekanger was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elver Nielsen Sunday af ternoon. After visiting Portland, they stopped off at Madras where they saw Jim’s two other brothers Kenneth and Floyd, arriving home Thursday evening. Miss Jeannette Martin of Clarkston, Washington came Friday evening by plane to Boise to visit her sister Mrs. Bill Toomb and other relatives. She was met by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phifer and Mrs. Bill Toomb. Saturday afternoon, Mrs. Jim Phifer, Miss Jeannett Martin and Mrs. Bill Toomb visited Mrs. Jan Fretig in Nyssa. Mrs. Bill Toomb played cards at the home of Mrs. Mary Hatt Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bowers and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phifer visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowers Thursday evening.
