Mr. and Mrs. Robbins were married June 15, 1947 at the United Methodist Church in Nyssa. Members of the National Guild of Piano Teachers are participating in auditions at the Ontario High School auditorium from June 5 - 10. Susan Davis was installed as Honored Queen of Bethel #33, International Order of Job’s Daughters, during a ceremony held June 4, 1972 at the Eagles Hall. Susan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis. Prior to the installation rites, Bethel Officers marched into the room, each signed her name to the guest book and then formed a heart as Mrs. Joy Mc- Partland narrated ‘’Youth the Heart of the World”. The girls knelt in prayer as Nancy Ross played “Prologue #2” on the flute, accompanied by Lori Le wis. Marlene Jamieson, retiring Honored Queen served as in stalling officer for the after noon. In addition to the Honored Queen, elected officers installed were: Carol Nelson, senior princess; Marci Myers, junior princess; Shelly Munn, guide; and Miriam Kunkel, marshall. Those appointed to serve the ensuing term are; Connie Bar nes, chaplain; Judy Davis, re corder; Barbara Holmes, li brarian; Mary Anne Chadwick, treasurer; Kathy Kunkel, musi cian; Gail Johnson, first mes senger; Lori Ferrenberg; se cond messenger; Sharon Bar nes, third messenger; Tami Holcomb, fourth messenger; Diana Piercy, fifth messenger; Shawn Webb, senior custodian; Tami Webb, junior custodian; Kellyne Michael, outer guard; and Roberta Morrow, inner guard. Six members from the Owy hee Chapter of DeMolay pre sented the final touch to the installation ceremony. Those assisting were: Bob Holmes, master counselor; Bill Holmes, senior counselor; Don Sappe, junior counselor; Joe Nelson, marshall and chaplain; Mark Nelson and David Crego were sword bearers. At the close of the ceremony the Master Counselor escorted the new Honored Queen to the East through an arch of crossed swords and presented her to the Bethel, after which the Chapter retired to the anti room. Treasure Valley United Action Committee (TVUAC) is sponsoring a day care center in Nyssa, a branch of the established center in the JACL building in Ontario. The buildings shown above will eventually be used, but for the present the day care center will be in the St. Bridget’s Parish Hall. Christine Mejia is supervisor for Nyssa, and she will have several assistants who are now in training. SENIOR CITIZEN ACTIVITIES The Nyssa Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. in the social room of the United MethodistChurch. Those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch. Coffee will be furnished. Only children 3 to 6 years old are accom- modated now, but after the buildings are completed infants and toddlers can be taken. The buildings are located behind St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, and are rented by TVUAC. Kitchen, bathrooms, office and storage will be constructed on the buildings before they can be used.
