Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cooper of Kennewick and Mr. and Mrs. BLM Names New Officer Sheldon Saxton takes over Chief, Branch of Lands and Mi nerals position in Vale BLM District according to Marlyn V. Jones, Acting District Mana ger. Saxton comes to Vale from the Prineville BLM office where he worked as a range conservat- ionsist and realty specialist since 1962. Prior to coming to the Bureau he worked on a farm ranch operation in Burdett, Kan. He is a gradute of Fort Hays Kansas StateCollege witha B.S, and M.S. degrees. He is mar ried, has two children living in Ontario, member of Conserva tive Baptist Church and likes to hunt, fish, do wood and metal work and photography. Saxton comes to Vale with a wide variety of experience that will benefit the management programs of the Vale Project. He succeeds the late Leo Sim mons of Vale, Jones concluded.
