The mother is doing fine and has returned home, but baby Janet is very tiny and receiving extra care at the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pitz of Sa linas, Calif., were Sunday dinner guests of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gehrke, they will spend a few days visiting rela- tives here then goon to Washing ton where they will visit their son. Mr. and Mrs. Don Cone of Parma were Sunday dinner guests in the Earl Campbell home. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Slippy of La Grande were Sunday af ternoon visitors in the Earl Campbell home. Nancy Campbell got a three point deer near Mahogany Mt. Saturday with just one shot. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Robb and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Breshears had dinner at the East Side Cafe in Ontario Sa turday evening celebrating Mrs. Breshea?s birthday. The owners do their best but needless to say they don’t have eyes in the back of their heads. Recently a wo man who was washing was cal led to the telephone and upon her return found that all her clothes were missing. This isn’t so unusual but it has happened twice in the past year. If the party would please return the clothing to the laundromat no questions will be asked. Clothes aren’t something which a person can afford to get overnight, any one with a large family knows how hard it is to ever have enough school clothes for their children. Fireman Summoned Monday at 12.-30 the Nyssa Volunteer Firemen were called to a grass-sagebrush fire on North Third in the Nyssa De velopment area. The fire was quickly extinguished. Mr. and Mrs. Snowden H. Ro berts are pleased to announce the engagement of their daugh ter, Sheri, to Scott Rich, son of Mr. andMrs.J.D. Rich of Ogden, Utah. Both young people are stu dents at Weber State College in Ogden. Sheri is a graduate of Parma High School and “Mary’s” School of Cos- motology in Provo, Utah. Scott has served a mission for the L.D.S. Canadian, Alaskan mis sion. A November wedding is planned. MERRY WIDOWS The Merry Widows club met at the home of Mrs. Leona Reeves Saturday, October 1.
