This is the first meeting of the year and all members are urged to attend. Mr. and Mrs. George Cole man of Ontario visited recently with John Sebum and Goldie Ro per. Mr. and Mrs. George Boek- weg and Nancy from Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard met at the Donald Bullard home. Sept 9 to celebrate Don’s birth day anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Don Chandler and daughter from Concord, Mass., were breakfast guests of Mr. and-Mrs. Otis Bullard Sa turday. They were enroute to Seattle where he will enter the University of Washington. Don is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chandler, former American Union Sunday School Mis sionaries, now missionaries in Japan. Mrs. Parley Feik accom panied Mrs. William Orr and Afton Mitchell to Boise Monday. Mrs. Harry Thurman, who is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zittercob spent the weekend in Portland where she met her husband from Balti more, Maryland. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll and Ruth and Esther St.ephensen from Owyhee and Orville Car roll were dinner guests Sept. 11, in the home of Jim Carroll of Ridgeveiw. The occasion being Jim Carroll’s birthday anni versary. Mrs. Dennis C indell and Todd were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Gary Findling in Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Myron McCrady from Boise and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Madrid from Ontario visited Sunday in the Don Bullardhome. Miss Christian Meyer who has spent the summer with her pa rents. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Meyer, left Saturday for Three Hills, Canada, where she will enter her second year at Prairie Bible Institute. Mr. and Mrs. KennethCarroll and family of Weiser were Sun day dinner guests in the Henry Carroll home. Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Mladenich and daughter Nancy from Seattle spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Kesler and family; on Saturday, Nancy and Karma Kesler left for B.Y.U. where they will attend this fall. Mrs. Mlandenich and Mrs. Kesler are sisters. Nyssa FHA Girls Discuss Convention . PHONE 37f-27aa Mr. and Mrs. Neil Petterson attended a square dance festi val at Wallowa Lake over the weekend. Miss Cathy Nelson, who has been employed in Anchorage, Alaska this summer, arrived home last week and will attend TVCC again. Connell Petterson arrived home last week from Portland to spend two months with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Pet terson. He will also help with the fall harvest. Dick, Joe andChristie Nelson spent the weekend at their summer home in Sumpter. Janice Meyer and Lyn Finch, who attended summer school at O.E.C. at Monmouth, Oregon, arrived home August 15, and have been employed at the Corn Cannery in Nyssa. They are visiting in the Harlan Meyer home and will return to O.E.C for their Junior year late in September. Swisher Announces Literature Meeting Clyde Swisher announced to day that all adults interested in participating in the discus sion of literature are asked to meet with him Tuesday, Sep tember 22, Room #4, at the High School in Nyssa, at 7 p.m. BRIDGE ACTIVITIES Mrs. Frank Morgan was hostess to members of the Thursday Afternoon BridgeClub at her home in Nyssa.
