Enroute to the coast they went sightseeing at Crater and Diamond Lakes. While at North Bend they were guests in the homes of his nep hews, Mr. and Mrs. John An derson, and Mr. and Mrs. Mit chell Anderson. They also vi sited in the homes of Rev. and Mrs. Roy Green. The Andersons are teachers at the North Bend Schools. The Wilsons fished while on their trip. They caught 14 silver salmon. Crabbing was a new adventure and was espec ially enjoyed by the boys. They traveled up the coast to Lincoln Citv. stopping at Pixie land and at the Oregon State Capitol building in Salem. GLENN BROWNS TRAVEL MID WEST Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brown, Coleen and Timmy left June 17 for a lovely trip through the Mid West. They traveled to Lucas, Kansas and visited with his mother, Mrs. Opal Brown and other relatives; then journeyed on to Orleans, Ne braska to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Conant. They also traveled through the Blue Hills of Nebraska and on through the Black Hills of South Dakota. They returned through the Yellowstone Park and arrived home July 3. MRS. CARTWRIGHT VISITS SISTER Mrs. Arthur Cartwright re turned home July 1 after visi ting for two weeks with her sister, Mrs. William Ankrum and family of Newark, Ohio. The group left Newark June 21 and spent some time at Niagra Falls. They traveled to Canada where they saw many sights of interest and also did seme fishing. tn route home they visited Watkins Glenn. N.Y. with its many water falls, salt mines and grape vineyards. While there they enjoyed aboatcruist on Sineca Lake. Before re turning home they toured th« Corning Glass Factory a Corning N.Y. Their last stoj was at the Swiss Cheese Plan' in Ohio. GARDENERS MEET The Owyhee Garden Club will hold their regular meeting, July 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Price. Mr. and Mrs. James Stephen attended the State Grange Mee ting at Hood River July 6. After the meeting they traveled to Seattle to visit their sons, Ronald and Roger and families. The group took trailers and campers for a short vacation at Sekin, Washington. Mrs. Stephen reported that deep sea fishing at Neah Bay was ex citing and that salmon and sea bass were plentiful. MRS.
