Mr. and Mrs. BobSchweizer, Chris and Sheri of Burns were August 17 afternoon visitors in the Jack Wood home. Other afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Don Haworth and their grandchildren, Chuck and Kim Parker. Tony Kratzberg of Parma MEMBERS OF THE NYSSA LDS SECOND ward girl’s softball team emerged as win ners of the regional championship trophy, following an August 15 contest. Vying for the award were teams from the Nam pa, Weiser and Nyssa stakes. Among the winning Nyssa players are those in this photo. Adah Louise and Terry Strong of Parma spent a recent week end in the Jack Wood home. Mrs. Sue Marshall and grand daughter, Tina Marshall were Aug. 17 evening visitors in the Wood residence. Mr. and Mrs. Elver Nielsen visited August 17 at the Homer Whitman home in Emmett. The Brindleys left that evening for their home at Avoca, Iowa, after spending a week visiting in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Magnus Ekang- er spent a recent weekend with relatives and friends at Orofino, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lawson of Sparks, Nev., arrived for a visit August 17 in the Jack Wood home. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Asumendi entertained on the evening of Aug. 14 with a barbecue din ner honoring the birthday an niversary of Roberta Asumendi. Among those present were Kelly, Brenda and Mike of the Don Hatch family; Christine, Frank, Louis and Tony Asum endi. Mrs. Charles Glenn and children recently spent two days with her mother, Mrs. Theda Boren at Durkee. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holub spent a recent week at their mine near Grand View, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Moore and children of Nyssa were August 17 eveningdinner guests of the Ora Newgens. The Rev. Arthur Skogan and family of Adrian were August 17 dinner guests of the Ken neth Lorensen family. After noon guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fields. The Rev. and Mrs. Fred Mox- om of the Owyhee Community church, arrived home August 15 from California.
