When the Greig brothers started out in the Saturday Back-To-School parade, their train was a ‘snappy’ looking unit, but by the time the choo-choo arrived at Nyssa south park and when this photo was snapped, it got a little droopy. The lads are (1 to r) John, Jim, Mark and David Greig, sons of Mrs. Iona Greig. Mark wasn’t in the parade as a member of the railroad crew, but he designed and built the unit. The occasion is the 25th an niversary of the building of their first home. Completion of re modeling work was recently accomplished. All members of the Seward family wiH be present to greet neighbors and other friends. Everyone is invited to stop, at least for several minutes of conversation and refresh ments. Among those planning tocome from a distance is Shirlee Se ward, who has been teaching for two years in Kansas City, Kans. This year she will Join the faculty at Ontario junior high school. BY GOLDIE ROBERTS ANK WOMEN TOUR GARDEN AT McCALL Women of the ANK garden club made their annual trip to McCall on August 2 when they had lunch on the outdoor patio at Shore Lodge, and were guests of Mrs. Jessie Morgan for huckleberry pie. They report the Davidson garden was in all ’it’s glory’ with various varieties of lilies in full-bloom. Mr. Davidson, who became 71 years old that day, conducted the tour along the garden paths, past sum mer homes and by the water falls. Each member of the club was presented with an iris plant. Mrs. Barbara Powers pres ented the host with a large lava rock, a gift from the visit ing club women. Davidson welcomes all visit ors and invites all those inter ested to browse through the garden which is his hobby pro ject. At the recent Malheur county fair, the club women placed second on their garden booth. Couple United In Winnemucca Miss Winona Lee Matthews and Carl Vyron Hopper were united in marriage Monday, August 19, 1968 by the Rev. Lester Jackson at the Meth odist church in Winnemucca, Nev. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Dave Matthews Jr. of Adrian, Mr. and Mrs. Vyron Hopper of Ontario. Witnessing the rites were the bride’s mother, parents of the bridegroom, the Misses Lynda and Becky Matthews.
