Upon receiving the award, Miss Ballou was complimented by Jeff Lee, executive director of the scholarship commission, 55.300 for the fine high school record she has maintained. 55.000 In addition to the state scholarship award, Linda is also 1968 winner of the citizen 50000 ship contest sponsored by the Soroptimist club of Ontario. Ticks are most prevalent in Eastern Oregon from March to June. Dermacentorandersoni, the Rocky Mountain wood tick, is the most commonly found hard tick in Eastern Oregon and has proven to be the vector for Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Colorado tick fever, tick paralysis and tularemia. Wood ticks in Western Oregon, primarily Ixodes pacificus and Dermacentor occidentalis, are found most frequently from January to July, although Ixodes pacificus can be collected year-round in certain areas.
