Sydney Carnes, Pastor of the First Christian Church in Nampa will be the guest speaker at the evening services held at the Nyssa Christian Church the week of January 21-26, at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Mr. Carnes will also be speaking at the Nyssa Chamber of Commerce meeting Wednesday noon, Jan. 24. The Theme of the week is “Revelation and the World To day”. Mr. Carnes will be bringing a message each evening from the book of Revelation. There will be special music each evening which will include The Northwest Christian Col lege Girls Trio, Mr. Jerry Davis of Middleton, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Olson of Ontario, a sextet from Payette, Linda Bal lou and our own Youth Choir. You are cordially invited to attend these services. Park Avenue Baptist Church Plais Johnson will be the guest speaker, Jan. 21 at the Park Avenue Baptist church, for the 11 a.m.andthe7:30p.m. services , in the absence of Pastor Ralph Tisaial, who is undergoing surgery at the Mal heur Memorial hospital. Sunday Jan. 28, Mr. Fiber- haus of the Gideons will be the speaker at the 11 a.m. service. He will present the work of the Gideons. The public is cordially invited to attend these services. Jay-C-Ettes To Meet Members of the Nyssa Jay- C-Ettes will meet Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Henry Mendazona. The guest speaker will be Helen Dwelle, Malheur County Extension agent. Miss Dwelle’s subject will be 'What is a Budget?’ She will also, give information regarding the food correspon dence course offered to the women of this area. SATURDAY DANCE A public dance will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Ore gon Trail hall, five miles south west of Nyssa on highway 201. Dancing to live music will begin at 9:30 p.m. The affair is being sponsored by the mem bers of the Owyhee Ridingclub. A midnight supper will be served. Guest speaker will be Mar vin Pash, an FBI agent who re tired after 30 years of ser vice. He was asked by the Dist rict Attorney to investigate the Watts riot in California. His ‘findings' will be the subject of his talk. Pash is now teaching Police Science at Treasure Valley Community college. Refreshments will be served at this evening's meeting, and all area residents are invited to attend. THOMAS F. The vocalists are (1 to r) Sunday LeBoeuf of Riggins, Idaho, first soprano; JoAnn Buhmann of Hermiston, Ore., second soprano; and Carol Van Fleet of Bell, Calif., alto. The girls are all sophomores at NCC in Eugene. They were trained by Professor Eugene Pearson, a viral artist of wide* ex perience, choral director and vocal music instructor at the college. The trio will appear Sunday evening Jan. 21 at a dinner in the basement of Nyssa Christian church. Serving of the banquet will tiegin at 5 o’clock. At that time the girls will present a concert of sacred music. They can also be heard between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Sunday over KSRV radio.
