Mary Ann Estrada called the meeting to order and Dolores Defuentes read the minutes. The group then planned to put on a Nov. 22 program for elderly patients at the hospital. We decided to give them candies in small cups. We then started to make pm cushions and scarfs. Before we left Elvira Estrada served candy bars. - Elvira Estrada, reporter. JOLLY GREEN GORILLAS In September, students in Jan Wilson’s sixth-grade room elected 4-H officers for their club. We selected Kellvne Michael as our president, Dwight Calhoun, vice president; Tom Zittercob, secretary and Mike Stringer, treasurer. On Oct. 9, we elected Mike Stringer as pledge leader. Each month we elect a new one. We also held a meeting to decide on the name of our club. We came up with, “The Jolly Green Gorillas.’’--Dana Frederiksen, reporter. The huge national debt they will inherit should keep our children from one indulgence-- ancestor worship. • * * DON’T WAIT TIL SPRING FOR Tractor By Dak Witt NEWELL HEIGHTS - Mem bers of the Book club met Sat- urday in the home of Mrs. Muriel Judd at Parma.
