In fact, it has been extraordinarily rapid, having nearly trebled in ten years. Next spring it will be some 40% " higher than it is now. ■ This is solid evidence of sustained economic growth and develop ment throughout the Snake River valley. Expansion of industry and agriculture accompanied by higher standards of living have dictated it, and electricity in abundance has been ready in advance of every need. Planning ahead made it possible. ■ We’ve also been doing our homework on the power supply you’ll need in years ahead - planning new generating capacity, transmission lines and substations. We’ll make sure that electricity will never be too little or too late for area development or for the home appliances you’ll want which haven’t yet been placed on the market. ■ New power facilities ' 1 requiring multi-million dollar investments will be needed for certain. i i I1 Our engineers are up-to-date in their studies of new energy sources and techniques including the field of thermal generation. ■ You’ll get the power you will need for growth. You can depend upon Idaho .Power Company for that. Cont’d On Page 8 Mr. and Mrs. William Diak of Pomona, Calif., were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Looney.
