Women of Area Schedule Meetings To Make Plans for Future Events By Freda Astoreca SUNSET VALLEY — Members of Owyhee Garden club will meet Friday, Nov. 11, at the home of Mrs. Ellen Strickland. The women plan to go at 10 a.m. to prepare for a cooked food sale and bazaar to be held Nov. 19 in Nyssa. Worthwhile club meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, in the home of Mrs. Magnus Ekanger. All members are urged to attend as plans for the Christmas party will be discussed. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alexander had as Sunday dinner guests Mr. an Mrs. Dan Martin and family of Nu Acres. Friday evening visitors in the Elver Nielsen home were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielsen and Lee Ann of Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Mon cur and Curtis visited Saturday afternoon in the Nielsen home. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Whitman and Karen of Emmett were Sun day afternoon callers. Mrs. Lester Smith, who had been here for several weeks due to the illness of her stepfather, William Turner, left Saturday for her home in Johnstown, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lorensen visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allen in Weiser. They are former Nebraska friends. Weekend guests in the Jess Asumendi home were Mrs. Junior Neal and family of Wallowa, Ore., Roberta and Christine Asumendi of Ontario. Mrs. Neal is Barbara Asumendi’s sister. A birthday dinner was served Sunday to celebrate Christine’s and Mrs. Neal’s anniversaries. Lynn, Stacey and Amy Glenn spent the weekend with their grandparents, the Charles Schwei zers in Vale. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Doughten left Sunday for their home in Sa lem after several days’ visit with the George Folkmans. RETURN FROM CALIFORNIA Mr. and Mrs. Ewen Chard of Nyssa, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Heikes of Boise returned home Saturday evening after spending a week visiting relatives in California.
