Mr. and Mrs. Duane Smith and family were June 2 evening din ner guests in the Gabe Astoreca home Other guests were Walter Nelson and the Lloyd McArthur family. Harold Pline of Melba is vis iting his uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Snyder. Weekend visitors in the Snyder home were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baird and daughter of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Baird. Guests From Mosas Lake Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Parrill 1 and sons of Moses Lake. Wash., ' were Monday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alexander Sunday evening visitors in the Wilbur Chapin home were Mr. and Mrs. Max Moore and Frankie of Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Hud Robb of Nyssa visited Wednesday eve ning of last week in the Wayne Robb home. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Elver Nielsen and James Langley. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alexander and family were Sunday dinner guests of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Grottveit in Nyssa. On May 29 the Alexander family and Grottveit couple were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Fogleman at Nampa. They were celebrating Mrs. Grottveit’s and Karen Fogleman’s birthday an- ni versa ries. Skogan Family Honored Messrs, and Mmes. Wayne Robb, Ken Lorensen, Elver Niel sen and Gabe Astoreca were among area families attending a Sunday farewell potluck dinner honoring the Rev. and Mrs. Ar thur Skogan and family. The Skogans left for Portland Friday morning to visit for several weeks. George Wilson was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Newgen. Mr. and Mrs. George Stockfleth visited Sunday after j noon in the Newgen home. Bob Moore and Mike were Monday evening dinner guests of the Newgen couple. Mrs. Frone Stradley visited May 31 with the Ora Newgens After living in Big Bend for 58 years she is moving to Fruitland where she will reside with her son. Walter. Attend Rites in Wallowa Mr. and Mrs Jess Asumendi ■ and children went to Wallowa on May 25 to attend commencement exercises for her sister. Freda Trump. The Asumendis went to ! Boise on May 29, visited Rose Hill cemetery and later were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lenon.
