Couple Graduates From OSU Mrs. Lydia Worden and Mrs. Verna Costlry of Homedale left Suturday for Corvallis to attend graduation rites for the latter's son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Gary (Cheryl) Costley at Oregon State university. The women plan to visit relatives in Portland before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hammon en. tertnined Sunday in honor of their son, Larry Dee, on his fourth birthday anniversary. Arrive From Washington Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fenn and boys of Maple Valley, Wash , arrived Sunday for a two-week visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fenn and other rela tives. Kathy Hardman, 10 - year - old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sid Hardman, fell while climbing a tree recently and broke her arm. Mrs. Irvin Topliff, Teresa, Mar cia and Greg were Memorial Day dinner guests of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Warren near Parma. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Borge and Marie went to Rosedale Memorial park at Payette on Memorial Day and were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs Lyle Harvey at Weiser. They also visited in the Jake Sauer home near Weiser. Trio Visits Area Relatives Roy James of California; his sisters, Stella Hoover and Dot James, visited May 31 with cou sins, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Fenn. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fenn. That evening Mr. and Mrs Earl Ward, the Carl and Rollo Fenn couples. Roy James and his sisters went to Homedale to visit a cousin, Elsmore Fenn. Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Fenn visited Friday afternoon with Mr and Mrs. Tom Church- hill in Homedale and that eve ning Mrs. Jim Hite called at the Fenn residence. De* Farr Suffer» Burn» Dee Farr suffered first and second degree burns on his hand last week when he fell in some ashes and coals while attending Boy Scout camp at Big Bend park. He is a member of Delta Sigma Delta national dental fraternity. Following graduation, he will be in Norfolk, Va., for one year under a U.S. Public Health ser vice internship. On May 24, several students entered the National Piano Play ing Auditions held in Ontario. Mrs. Donald Highfill of Silverton, Colo., and Lawton, Okla., was the judge sent by national head quarters in Austin, Texas. Mrs. Highfill received her musical edu- cataion in Oklahoma and Ger many. Those participating, Karen Söd erström; Pamela, Jeanine and Jan Saito, presented a program of memorized selections and were judged on 42 points. Strom, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie A. Strom of route 1, Nyssa, was recently graduated from the Aviation Fundamentals school at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Memphis, Tenn , ac cording to a Navy news release.
