OWYHEE CHURCH WOMEN PLAN VARIOUS PROJECTS Owyhee Missionary circle meet ing was held April 12 at the home of Mrs. Harold Dull. President Freda Astoreca conducted the business session. The women discussed plans for taking short recorded sermons to homes in the area for senior citi- ens. The ladies are also working on new chorus sheets which will be used for Bible school. BIBLE SCHOOL WORKSHOPS HELD AT AREA CHURCHES Workshops were held two eve nings last week in the Seventh- Day Adventist churches at Boiae and Payette to instruct lay mem ber» in methods of conducting vacation Bible schools. Speakers were W. J. Harris of Washington, 1).C., Elder Benjamin Preston of l’ortland and Elder Harold Gray of Boise. Elder Harry Gray, pastor of the Parma church, was also present at the meetings. Simpsons Visit in Seattle Mr and Mrs. Wayne Simpson recently returned from visiting their son and daughter - in - law, Mr. and Mrs. Klair Simpson and Russell in Seattle The two couples went sightseeing at the Seattle Civic center which is in the former World's Fair site. Cheldelin attended Knife and Fork club meeting April 12 at East Side cafe in Ontario. } Regular meeting of the Apple Valley PTA unit will be held at 8 o’clock tonight (Thursday) in the school gymnasium, it is an nounced by Mrs. Kenneth Nelson, publicity chairman. A special event planned for the evening is a talent program with all resi dents of the area invited to par ticipate. RETURN FROM PORTLAND Mr. and Mrs. Herman Towne returned home April 11 after spending several days in the Port land area. They visited a son-in- law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Johansen at Beaverton, and spent Easter Sunday with Towne’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann Morris in Portland.
