OWYHEE CHURCH WOMEN
PLAN VARIOUS PROJECTS
Owyhee Missionary circle meet­
ing was held April 12 at the home
of Mrs. Harold Dull. President
Freda Astoreca conducted the
business session.
The women discussed plans for
taking short recorded sermons to
homes in the area for senior citi-
ens. The ladies are also working
on new chorus sheets which will
be used for Bible school.
BIBLE SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
HELD AT AREA CHURCHES
Workshops were held two eve­
nings last week in the Seventh-
Day Adventist churches at Boiae
and Payette to instruct lay mem­
ber» in methods of conducting
vacation Bible schools.

recently returned from visiting
their son and daughter - in - law,
Mr. and Mrs. Klair Simpson and
Russell in Seattle

couples went sightseeing at the
Seattle Civic center which is in
the former World's Fair site. They
visited the Space Needle, other:
places of interest und also took

Mrs Zell Richesin, grandmother
of Bill Richesin; Mrs. Jeff Brown,
an aunt; and Dick Richesin, an
uncle, all of Caldwell, were Fri­
day ufternoon visitors ut the Bill

youngest great-grandchild.

Valley PTA unit will be held at
8 o’clock tonight (Thursday) in
the school gymnasium, it is an­
nounced by Mrs. Kenneth Nelson,
publicity chairman. A special
event planned for the evening is
a talent program with all resi­
dents of the area invited to par­
ticipate.
RETURN FROM PORTLAND
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Towne
returned home April 11 after
spending several days in the Port­
land area. They visited a son-in-
law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
David Johansen at Beaverton,
and spent Easter Sunday with
Towne’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann
Morris in Portland. The couple
also visited Mrs Elizabeth Bur­
ton, a former Nyssan, and rela­
tives in Vancouver, Wash.
