GUEST EDITORIAL by JOHN W. BULLOCK Pastor, Church of the Nazarene This is a special time of the year to be thankful, and may we express our gratitude to God in a unique way. What is the meaning of the word ’’Thanksgiving?” We cannot say “thanks" without giving. Always receiv ing and never giving makes selfish people and a selfish nation. A thankful person is a giving person! Show us a per son who is grateful and we will see one who gives to others. When we are thankful toward our fellowman, we will give love to our fellowman. When we are thankful for our children, we give them love. When thankful for our companion, we extend our love, or when thankful for a vocation, we do a better job. In being thankful for our community, we serve to make it better and when thankful for our church, we love it and work to see it reach outward. When we say “thanks” to God this Thanksgiving season, let us give our hearts, lives, devotion and ser vice to Him. IT'S YOUR LAW By Oregon State Bar What Is 'Escrow?'
