NNC Home Economics Class Completes Summer School Tour; Visits Sewards By Mrs. Waldo Smalley APPLE VALLEY — Shirley Seward, four other students and their teacher, Mrs. John Howe, stopped enroute home from a summer school tour and were Sunday evening dinner guests in the Dwight Seward home. The students are from the summer home economics class of Northwest Nazarene college in Nampa. They had been traveling for the past five weeks and at tended a home ec convention at Atlantic City, N J. They toured the Betty Crocker Kitchen at Minneapolis, visited the National Dairy council and General Mills plant in Chicago. The group also called at na tional headquarters of home eco nomics in Washington, D. C., Na tion Research center at Beltsville. Md., visited the World’s Fair and many other places of interest. PRESIDENT JOHNSON signed into law the Pacific Northwest Disaster Relief Bill on June 17. The signing ceremony was attended by western members of Congress and members of the House Public Works committee.
